Glide Housing, which consists of two affiliated non-profit organizations – Glide Community Housing and Glide Economic Development Corporation – exists to break the cycles of multi – generational dependency, poverty, and low self-worth by providing a spiritual home of unconditional love. We strive to create a healthy community by offering effective services that foster holistic healing in an environment of cultural integrity and diversity.

Our Mission

Glide Community Housing is to assist residents in maintaining permanent housing to break the cycle of chronic homelessness. The goal of the organization is to actively engage the resident community and to advocate for their growing independence.

GCH and GEDC bring over 13 years of experience providing housing services and deep experience in housing development including financing.

A Caring Community

We work to ensure our residences are places where recovery from harmful behaviors liberates those enslaved by addiction and mental health challenges.

Glide Community Housing

Provides supportive housing accompanied by a variety of services that promote overall health and wellness, help individuals resolve problems and build life skills.

Glide Economic Development Corporation

Supports economic development and neighborhood improvement while creating affordable and low-income housing for individuals and families in San Francisco’s Tenderloin.

Helping Hundreds of Residents Annually

Glide Community Housing and Glide Economic Development Corporation combined operate four San Francisco apartment buildings whose 285 units serve more than 490 residents.
